Above: The Rosa Luxemburg lightbulb factory, Marcin Kasprzac Street, Warsaw, c. 1961- 68. The only significant ‘monument’ to Rosa Luxemburg in the city where she lived from the age of 3 to 18 (1873- 1889).
It was built during the Communist era (1945- 1989) on the street named after her mentor Marcin Kasprzak,who was executed during the 1905-6 Revolution (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcin_Kasprzak)
