Interview with Mieczyslaw Weinryb of Zamosc

Interview with Mieczyslaw Weinryb (b. 1915), a native of Zamosc. The interview was conducted in 2003- 2004 by the Centropa (Jewish Witness to a European Century) organisation. Mr. Weinryb describes the cultural, political and religious life in Zamosc during the early twentieth-century.

A fascinating first-hand account of life in Rosa Luxemburg’s birthplace. Mr. Weinryb’s sister was even engaged to a Szalom Luksemburg before emigrating to Palestine…
