Hello. I am early in the process of creating a GRAPHIC BIOGRAPHY (that is to say, comic art volume) on Rosa’s life, work and legacy, on the model of several others that I have edited, on Che (by Spain Rodriguez), Isadora Duncan (by Sabrina Jones) and Emma Goldman (by Sharon Rudahl). Have other comic stories (I do not mean single-panel cartoons) been done? Anyone interested in this project? Just asking. Paul_Buhle@Brown.edu, a now-retired educator living in Madison, Wisconsin, with a long history of scholarship and about 10 non-fiction comics.

    • Hi Paul,

Your project sounds great and I’m looking forward to it already. I don’t know of any other graphic novels/ comic stories about Luxemburg, certainly not English-language.

I’m currently towards the end of my PhD on Rosa Luxemburg which is centred around biographical research, especially on her early life and family and have met many of Luxemburg’s relatives.

Let me know if I can help in any way, as I’d be very happy to do so. My e-mail address is rorycastle@hotmail.co.uk.

      Regards,

      Rory Castle

    • Also, I have quite a large collection of photographs of Luxemburg which might be useful for the artist(s)?

      Rory
