Event: Rosa Luxemburg Book Talk at ‘Historical Materialism’ Conference (NY), 27 April 2013

On Saturday 27 April, a book talk on ‘Rosa Luxemburg: Her Life and Legacy’ was held as part of the ‘Historical Materialism 2013: Confronting Capital’ conference (26- 28 April) at New York University, New York, U.S.A.

The discussion centred on the upcoming publication:

Jason Schulman (ed.),  ‘Rosa Luxemburg: Her Life and Legacy’ (Palgrave Macmillan, due for publication 18 Dec 2013)

and the four participants in the talk were:

Jason Schulman: editor of the new book and Assistant Professor of Political Science in the City University of New York.

Chris Maisano: author of chapter 10 of the book. Writer and member of Democratic Socialists ofAmerica.

Stephen Eric Bronner: author of chapters 1 and 8 of the book. Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University and author of ‘Rosa Luxemburg: A Revolutionary for Our Times (USA: Penn State University Press, 2004) and editor of ‘The Letters of Rosa Luxemburg’ (USA: Humanities Press, 1978)

Mike Hirsch: author of chapter 11 of the book. Journalist and writer.
